My mom's cousin (second aunt?) is the distnguished baker of the family. She periodically uploads pictures of her new creations on facebook and they're so pretty. They don't just look good, they're really delicious too. She made me this carrot cake for my 18th birthday.
And here's the Barbie cake she made for her daughter
And here are a few more pictures of her pastries.
All her creations are just really dainty.
Does anyone watch Ace of Cakes? I've seen a few episodes and they make some really awesome cakes and they get really creative. It's on the Food Network and it shows the daily operations of a custom cake shop called Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, Maryland.
Wow. Those cakes do look mouth-watering. And that collection of different shaped cup-cakes on the right is especailly nice.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, those cakes are really mouth watering. I would suggest your aunt should open up a bakery and earn some money through it. It ll be her great pass time and besides it she ll earn some money too. Just a suggestion. I could not resist saying this as I really liked the cakes.
ReplyDeleteThose look delicious. Your aunt is very talented.
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty! I love Ace of Cakes!!! I went to Baltimore this summer with my drum corps and it was right around my mom and sister birthday (yes, the three of them share a birthday) so we were going to look into trying to get a cake from there. But the minimum amount you have to spend on a cake is like $500!! And there is like over a one year waiting period. We said "Can we just get a cupcake?"
ReplyDeleteThey are soooooo beautiful!I am so envy of you that you have such delicate cakes on your birthday! But I am afraid that I will feel painful when I eat them.(How can I gulp such fabulous cakes?!)
