In Defense of Free Will

I'm tired of people telling me what to eat. Everyone has an opinion now days and the only thing they all have in common is their desire for me to conform to their views. Their propaganda is filled with studies, numbers, and conclusions that aren't necessarily true. Honestly, it's hard for me to take any of them seriously, because when it comes down to it, I just don't care anymore!

I used too try to eat healthy, and I like to think that I still do, but I'm tired of hearing contradicting theories. My new philosophy is to eat foods that I enjoy and keep a generally balanced diet. I eat to enjoy the eating experience, not to fuel myself for the day. It is my opinion that anything that makes eating a hassle is just not worth doing.

  1. Agree. specialists and nutritionists are always making suggestions and make you don't know what to eat. focusing on food labels can also be confusing.
Just choosing what I like makes eating better and at least I think my health hasn't been impaired till now.

  2. I totally agree. The whole health reports thing works for some people, but I think I'm doing just fine with my diet without their help.

  3. FINALLY, someone else who thinks this way. I have heard so many people trying to change my eating habits but that's just it. Those habits are my own, and they keep me healthy.

  4. I so agree with you.
My mom always tells me to eat certain food that I absolutely hate. Then, my dad would always say, it is better to eat what he likes to eat than eating something healthy if he doesnt like it.

  6. The only thing I look at a nutrition label for is to check the portion size. I don't count calories or anything, but I like to try and eat the suggested serving size otherwise I overeat. I love food way too much.

  8. That's a great attitude to have. I hate watching eating contests. They load a pile of wings or hot dogs in front of them and just gulp down as many as they can in a few minutes. It's sickening. They're not eating, they're just stuffing themselves with food.

  9. I agree. Eat what you want to eat. Don't let anyone decide for you.
